Our Club sponsored the 'Basic IT skill training' for a batch of girl students at ANEW, the NGO loaced in Anna Nagar, Chennai. At the function held 13 November, the students who completed the course were presented certificate. The course was supported by CAMS CSR.

G Mariyammal, teacher of Jaigopal Garodia Girls Higher Secondary School Nandanam, our Interact School, recevied the Rotary Teaching Icon Award presented by our District 3232. She was one among the group of teachers from schools in Chennai recognised for their role in nation building. Our Club sponsored the 'Art competition for students' as part of the inaugural day celebration of Madras Dyslexia Associaiton, for the year 2019. The event was held at the auditorium of Asan Sr. Sec. School, Egmore, Chennai. Around 110 students participated in the art competition and the winners are given cash prizes. Several Rotaraians and Anns participated participated in the event. Home nursing and Basic IT skills vocational programmes at ANEW, a vocational training NGO, is started today (20 July) by our Club, benefitting 40 women. Shri. Manikandan, Vice President of CAMS, our CSR partner, participated in the function as the Chief Guest. Shrimathi. Mythili Muralidharan, Dist. Chairman for Vocational Services was the guest of honour. Shrimathi. Vinodhini, Secretary of ANEW and Shri M C Srikanth, our Club President presided. Project Chairman Shri Sathyanarayan and Shri Rajan Babu, our Club Secretary participated in the function. Formal valedictory function was organized at the school to distribute the certificates of the tailoring course completion.

Bio Science Research Foundation does contract research on molecules for national and international pharma and agro companies run by Rtn. C. Tamilselvan. It was educative trip to the facility. On the way to the facility Southerners visited 2 temples on route.
